Registration

All registration, travel, and special events information will be available in the September 2006 Midwest Notebook.

Registration is available online through AR Editions at this URL https://www.areditions.com/midwest/2006midwestFORM.html. For those who prefer printing and mailing a paper registration form, that is avavailable here.

The Registration fee is $60 for members, $30 for students/retirees, $80 for late registration.

If you are not currently a Chapter member, you can join/renew by printing and mailing this form. (this is a MS Word document, contact the webmaster if you need a copy emailed to you)

Student and para-professional members may apply for the Retirees or Troutman Scholarships respectively. The deadline is 15 September 2006.

The essentially final program is available here . Note that it is intended to be printed two-sided so it looks a little odd printed as single sheets. (updated 2 Oct 06)

Lodging

The conference hotel is
The Pfister Hotel
424 East Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53202
www.pfisterhotel.com

The conference rate is $149 + tax single/double
Telephone the hotel directly at 1-800-558-8222 and mention the Music Library Associatio Midwest Chapter Conference to receive the group rate.

NOTE: The hotel recommends making reservations by Sept 4th to be sure to get the conference rate (though the final deadline is a few days later).

Milwaukee is accessible by air, train, and bus. Driving details will be available shortly. Please be aware that the freeways in downtown Milwaukee are in the process of being reconstructed and there are frequent re-routings and on/off-ramp closings. We will attempt to keep track of them and note any obvious changes as close to the event as possible. If you would like to watch the progress you can do so through the construction website www.mchange.org.

Travel Instructions to get you around the Marquette Interchange road construction will be emailed to MLA-L and MWMLA-L on Monday, 2 October. Please contact Rebecca if you would like it emailed directly to you.

The Midwest Chapter of MLA would like to thank the following sponsors for their support of this meeting. Hal Leonard Logo.     The Milwaukee Public Library
