While the Midwest Chapter strives to contain meeting costs; providing varied and informative sessions at affordable registration levels, it should come as little surprise that the cost of professional meetings continues to escalate. The registration fee for chapter meetings barely covers the cost of conference essentials. Local Arrangements Committees find it increasingly necessary to seek external funding to help underwrite these annual events. The Chapter gratefully accepts corporate and individual contributions in support of the annual meeting. All donations, either named or anonymous will be acknowledged in the conference booklet. You will find an opportunity to specify an extra contribution to the Midwest Chapter, MLA in the upcoming Membership Renewal Form. Thank you for your financial support.
The Leslie Troutman Scholarship provides support for attendance at chapter meetings by staff and paraprofessionals working in music libraries or with music collections in libraries in the Midwest Chapter region. For more information and to apply, download the application HERE. Deadline for scholarship applications is September 20, 2010.
The Retirees Scholarship for Student Members provides support for attendance at chapter meetings by students who are enrolled in a library school in the Midwest Chapter region.
