The Technology, Archives, Preservation and Sound (TAPS) Committee is a Special Committee of the Midwest Chapter of the Music Library Association.

TAPS Mission:

to keep current with related developments, initiatives and programs concerning the four areas of interest, and to disseminate information, heighten awareness of related issues, and to incorporate elements of established preservation activities in our daily practice.

  IRMA Database Encourages Registration of Music Archives

The IRMA (International Register of Music Archives) database, hosted by Brigham Young University, collects information from music archives around the world. View the database at http://web.lib.byu.edu/irma. Music archives are encouraged to register by contacting David Day at david_day@byu.edu.
